A division of MAT Holdings, Established in 1907, Gabriel North America designs, manufactures and distributes suspension products for the automotive aftermarket and other specialty vehicles. The company is the current market leader in suspension systems products. Gabriel NA currently employs more than 1,300 salaried and hourly employees at several locations in the US and Mexico. The company has two manufacturing facilities; one domestic US and one in Mexico. Revenues for the company are approximately $200MM.
 

Job Description

This position will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing packages both domestic and international in a non-production environment. Primary duties include the receipt, labelling, and disposition of incoming packages as well as the shipping of outgoing packages for warranty, engineering, and marketing departments. The position responsibilities include the management of the warehouse storage space, fulfilment of inventory pull requests by outside departments, and organization/cleanliness of the warehouse. Additional responsibilities include the completion of building maintenance requests to maintain the safety and comfort of the facility. The associate must be comfortable sending professional emails to all levels of the organization as well as vendor/customer contacts.


Principle Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments from FedEx, UPS, DHL, Amazon, LTL, etc.
  • Operate forklift for loading/unloading and storage of pallets
  • Delivery of incoming packages to appropriate departments or associates
  • Perform outgoing domestic and international shipping
  • Appropriate packaging of outgoing parcels and pallets
  • Log all incoming and outgoing packages
  • Completion of packing lists and commercial invoice documentation as required
  • Delivery exception management and problem resolution
  • Labeling and barcoding of automotive components for further processing
  • Manage building inventory, inventory pull requests, and disposition/scrap.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized (cardboard compactor, sweeping, etc.)
  • Maintain shipping supply stock and request orders as-needed
  • Assist Facility Manager with general building maintenance requests as needed

                o Arrange for metal scrap, confidential bin, and cardboard bale pickups

                o Lightbulb and ceiling tile replacements

                o Thermostat adjustments and reprogramming

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (Required)
  • 2+ years Forklift Experience (Required)
  • 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving related positions (Preferred)
  • Driver’s License (Preferred)
  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)
