The Marion & Aaron Gural JCC seeks a dynamic, creative, community-oriented Young Family Engagement Coordinator to design relevant and innovative programs for families of preschool-aged children and serve as an ambassador of the JCC in the community.
The Young Family Engagement Coordinator is a newly created, part-time position designed to engage the families of the children in our Early Childhood Center. This is a part-time, 12-15 hours per week position. The role reports directly to the Executive Director with a dotted reporting line to the Associate Executive Director for Early Childhood.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop programs, volunteer/chesed opportunities and events for young families
Plan events for parents in our Early Childhood Center
Participate in the JCC's Community Succos Fair and other holiday celebrations
Connect with new families in the community
Build strong relationships with parents, families and community members
Identify individuals and help create a pipeline of leaders in our Early Childhood Center and the JCC
Form a Young Family Engagement Committee to work collaboratively on outreach and program planning
Be a visible presence at the Early Childhood Center with parents to establish relationships and create interest for programming
Coordinate all logistics related to programs and events
Coordinate all communication with parents
Maintain budget, meeting notes and track attendance
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience designing, planning and executing programming for young families/families
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and social media)
Strong computer literacy
Very strong knowledge and passion for Jewish life, tradition and culture
Ability to work independently on projects and manage details
