Job Summary:
This team member will participate and assist in the daily operation of the maintenance department. To ensure excellence in owner/guest vacation experiences through timely and quality job performance in the handling of maintenance requests and special projects.


Job Expectations:

1. Abides by established policies and procedures, house and departmental rules, safety rules, grooming codes, and security procedures.
2. Carefully and with due preparation performs maintenance jobs as required.
3. Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing, detailed reports on failures, causes and recommended remedial action.
4. Maintains all equipment and tools in a clean and workable condition.
5. Alerts manager and/or front desk of any suspicious persons in guest areas.
6. Binds the resort with authority to accept deliveries of supplies; maintains inventory of supplies in storage areas.
7. Notifies manager and/or front desk completion of units according to established procedures.
8. Adheres to scheduled work hours; is punctual in reporting and gives notice to manager if he/she cannot meet schedule to insure person-hour coverage can be arranged.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform quality maintenance repairs and installations in all areas of building and property maintenance.

  • Receive instruction for completing repairs and securing necessary materials and tools.
  • Perform repairs and installations correctly and completely with confidence and requisite speed.
  • Protect surrounding area and maintain cleanliness.

2. Complete the corrective repairs or replacements necessary to maintain units and resort property maintenance.

  • Perform daily guest service calls and housekeeping work orders as reported.
  • Perform and supervise all special projects assigned.
  • Identify areas of need and perform corrective repairs without requiring instruction to do so.
  • Always be aware of liter and other materials around the property that require disposal.

3. Budget Control and Financial management

  • Maintain inventory of tools and return them to proper storage location daily.
  • Purchase supplies and materials as directed.
  • Utilize time on the job efficiently providing Association with quality labor and greatest quantity of work accomplished each day.

4. Effective Communication shall be maintained

  • Provide complete, accurate, and beneficial communication to all team members and management concerning all areas of responsibility.
  • Complete written inspections of work performed as required.
  • Notify management of any areas you personally see that require attention.

5. Owner/guest Satisfaction

  • Maintain and require excellence in all services provided to members, guests, and fellow team members.
  • Complete repairs requested by housekeeping completely and accurately.
  • Interact with guests on-site by greeting them and having eye contact. Speak kindly to them and listen to their requests and comments without judgment.

6. Perform other duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

1. Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

2. Minimum Experience required:

  • Experience preferred but will train for position

3. Skills Required:

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
