Lead Electrical Engineer – Hybrid Remote

Location: Emeryville, CA (Hybrid – In-office Monday & Wednesday, remote Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)

This is an opportunity to lead the electrical design of high-impact healthcare infrastructure projects. Specializing in complex, ground-up medical facilities, this role requires deep expertise in California’s OSHPD (HCAI) standards and a passion for technical leadership, collaboration, and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical design for large-scale healthcare facilities, ensuring full compliance with OSHPD (HCAI) requirements.

  • Oversee critical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and essential medical infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to manage design coordination, timelines, and budgets.

  • Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers, promoting technical growth and professional development.

  • Conduct site inspections and provide expert troubleshooting to maintain the highest standards in safety, sustainability, and system performance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare design

  • Extensive knowledge of OSHPD (HCAI) compliance and ground-up construction

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis software

  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with sustainable electrical design and energy efficiency strategies

  • Familiarity with BIM coordination and advanced modeling tools

  • Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing engineering talent

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $150K+
