The primary functions of an "Aircraft Mechanic III" which can be performed without direct supervision include: · Performs tasks as assigned /directed by Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Site Manager by instructions, applicable technical data, manuals, and directives. · Evaluate aircraft discrepancies to identify proper repair methods. Identifies necessary parts, materials, and tooling requirements to complete the task. · Utilize manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, Maintenance Engineering Directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts, and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot, and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished promptly. · Inspect for corrosion, treat and repair discrepancies. Perform touch-up painting and apply decals and labels. Prepare aircraft components for paint. · Remove and replace engines, accomplish engine rigging and test. · Comply with and follow established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production. |
