Bondurant Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast paced multi-doctor general small animal practices located in Bondurant, Iowa with a sister clinic in Newton, IA. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, Urgent Care, High Speed Dentistry, In-House Diagnostics, Digital full body and dental radiology, Endoscopy and Ultrasonography. Newton and Bondurant Animal Clinics operate as one larger entity in two locations. They are both close to the Des Moines area which allows for easy commute to an international airport. The Jasper public schools are well regarded, making it an ideal area to raise a family! Popular activities in the area include the Iowa Speedway, hiking, biking, close to the largest lake in Iowa (Red Rock), several museums, a Zoo, Planetarium, and music venues as well as college football. Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Part-time;

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8-10 hours a week
  • Evening shifts
  • Minimum of 2-3 days a week

The kennel tech is responsible for general cleaning; kennels, taking out trash, sweeping/mopping, some restocking and walking hospitalized patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
  • Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency. 
  • Perform moderately heavy physical labor (large dogs, bags of litter, pet foods, etc).
  • Ability to sympathetically and patiently attend to sick, scared and injured animals. 
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job.
