At IAA Holdings, LLC (IAA), our Dispatchers play a meaningful role in managing our towing resources to keep our vehicle pickups and deliveries running smoothly, which optimizes our branch productivity.
Dispatchers embody our "will to win" and "team player" values, by providing outstanding customer service to our towing partners and pivoting to coordinate for capacity and resource demands. They play a crucial part in IAA's business and branch growth.
What do IAA Dispatchers Do?
Manage tow truck resources and assign work in an efficient manner to achieve on-time performance & optimize tower productivity
Plan future day resource requirements and coordinate with towers to line up required truck resources.
Identify when demand exceeds tow truck capacity & refer to part-time networks for additional resources
Recruit new towers to build tow networks with added resources
Provide necessary documentation to drivers for each pickup and delivery, including check & cash handling as needed
Monitor work-in-progress & make necessary adjustments to ensure timely performance
Review driver records to ensure completeness & accuracy & take corrective action as needed
Communicate driver problems or potential problems to the management team
Establish and Maintain good, positive working relations with all tow drivers
Other duties as assigned
What are the Requirements?
HS Diploma is preferred, but equivalent work experience is great too!
1 year of related or transferrable experience
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
Strong judgment & decision-making skills
Positive, professional demeanor
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to function well as part of a team
Comfortable with technology & proficient in MS Office
While not required, it would be awesome to have dispatch experience and/or knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) and safety regulations
California Residents Only: The salary range for California residents is$18.00 to $25.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
