We are seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer with a strong foundation in Lean methodologies to drive operational efficiency across equipment utilization, facility layout optimization, and production workflows. This role acts as a strategic advisor to the Plant Manager, guiding improvement initiatives from concept through implementation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams, providing hands-on support to resolve day-to-day operational challenges. Key responsibilities include developing detailed manufacturing process documentation and product flow diagrams, conducting root cause analysis to ensure sustainable problem resolution, and evaluating current practices to implement enhancements that uphold quality and maximize efficiency.
Principle Responsibilities
- Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions for manufacturing processes based on analysis and organizational objectives
- Identify design improvements based on activity levels; assess footprint capacity within facilities and identify/develop plans to better utilize the space
- Identify equipment improvements based on activity levels; assess throughput capacity and identify/develop plans remove bottlenecks and breakdowns
- Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing
- Empower employees and optimize existing activities based on standards and best practices from Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.
- Study and analyze current processes, determine their effectiveness, and recommend strategies for improvement and timelines for implementation
- Conduct time study analysis to establish production standards for departments
- Advocate for continuous improvement by promoting a strong teamwork atmosphere and a community of process improvement practice
- Research and introduce equipment/other technologies
