Job Summary

This individual is responsible for identifying training needs, designing and delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. This individual also creates teaching plans, develops instructional materials, and ensures employees' growth aligns with department goals. The Intake Trainer works closely with Intake Supervisor and Manager of Intake.

Essential Functions

  • Design and conduct training programs to enhance team skills and competencies
  • Assess training needs, develop curriculum, and deliver training sessions to improve employee performance
  • Develop instructional materials, conduct training sessions, and assess the effectiveness of training programs
  • Stay updates on trends in employee development and ensure that training is reflective of changes within the Intake department and overall organization
  • Monitor HIPAA compliance within department
  • Participate in cross functional team meetings to identify training needs and process changes
  • Build standardize onboarding process for newhires in the Intake Department
  • Translate process requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path while ensuring quality performance in current role
  • Boost workplace performance and drive professional development within the Intake team
  • Organize and facilitate bi-weekly team huddles
  • Participate in staff 1:1 meetings at least once per quarter to review employee development
  • Monitor interdepartmental feedback and escalations to identify training needs
  • Create new and update existing team SOP's and job aids for department use
  • Report to department supervisors and manager regularly on efficacy of training programs and employee development
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure they are reflective of current process and procedure


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years training and/or medical insurance experience preferred
  • Proven experience in designing multiple training methods, tools and techniques


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
  • Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
  • Sound decision making, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
