Job Summary
Responsible for meeting or exceeding company sales and profits for all Sales Teams selling into North American EMS Sales Channels. Accomplished through effective management of VP's, Directors, National Sales managers, Region managers and Territory managers. This position reports to the General Manager of ZOLL’s EMS business. As a VP within our North America Sales team, this individual should be based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. They will be responsible for meeting or exceeding North American EMS sales and profits targets for said channels. They will also interface with other Group and VPs of Sales, to ensure that effective sales strategies are in place for cooperative joint sales efforts.
Essential Functions
- Provides strategies and tactical direction to sales organization.
- Establishes annual orders forecasts, objectives and corresponding action plans by region and territory that will meet company plan and marketing objectives.
- Accountable for developing and staying within approved spending budgets. Responsible for hiring, training, appraisal system, personnel development and appropriate terminations.
- Establishes territorial boundaries with clarified duties (job descriptions) for regional managers, strategic account managers and territory managers.
- With the sales training manager initiates, develops and implements effective product and sales training programs.
- Sees that all VP or National Team leaders ensure that regional managers conduct field visits with the field managers with appropriate action plans and follow up on quarterly basis.
- In concert with company objectives, develops compensation and incentive programs that will attract and motivate sales staff.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate appropriate performance measurement systems.
- Maintains and distributes updated new business opportunities and forecasts for major product groups by territory, and region.
- Is responsible for all administrative tasks relative to the sales force.
- Interface with Workday as Required
- Is responsible for developing and maintaining management books that includes at a minimum, organizational chart, job descriptions, sales plan, commission plans, quotas, key reports, expense guidelines and budgets.
- Responsible for adherence to Salesforce.com utilization
- Advises and directs content of national and regional sales meetings.
- Works closely with marketing to develop new products and concepts and implement sales and marketing programs.
- Responsible for special projects as assigned.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- College degree required.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 40%. Travel will consist of attending company meetings, customer visits, field rides, and other, as necessary.
