Coordinate and schedule all Engine Division field service personnel. Interface with customer to ensure satisfaction on natural gas engines and compressors work. Coordinate parts and buyout requirement and all billing. Ensure all WPI Policies and Procedures are followed.

Manages organization, productivity and asserts of the Field Service Dept. to obtain maximum efficiency and profitability. Supervises Foreman, Leaderman, Administrative Asst, and Field Clerk.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Delegates duties of the day to day operations for field services in the natural gas industry
  • Increases output, evaluates performance and tracking mileage
  • Monitors the capabilities of the entire department regarding customer needs and service requirements for being utilized in the territory
  • Ensure that all technicians are up to date on Waukesha recertification's
  • Close and invoice jobs in a timely manner
  • Promote safe operations of field activities
  • Be available for 24-7 customer and employee support
  • Interview and hire of new skilled technicians
  • Maintain a skillful level of computer knowledge to aid in internal issues with invoicing
  • Coordinate technicians for jobs and communicate with customer on logistics
  • Maintains close contact and good relations with customers, may include onsite visits
  • Administers safety program in accordance with existing company, state and federal guidelines, including DOT. Conducts a monthly safety meeting and completes required reports
  • Prepares and adheres to the Company Salary Plan to provide a timely Performance Reviews and equitable increase program
  • Performs other duties or functions as requested by Management
  • Acquire parts for field technicians and ship accordingly
  • Keep accurate count of core parts and credits for parts
  • Mentor for internal hires in the field of services group
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer applied certification(s) for the above job description
  • Trade School and/or some college preferred

  • Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its’ objectives
  • Must be able to foster a strong, cohesive team environment and work in a fast-paced, high performing work place where deadlines are critical
  • Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
  • Must have the ability to lead and set standards for ED inspections necessary for quality assurance and identification of future planned maintenance/repairs projects
  • Must be computer literate with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must maintain good client relations and a professional appearance
  • Must have the ability to effectively motivate, supervise, and evaluate others
  • Must be able to pass and maintain drug/alcohol testing requirements as outlined by the Department of Transportation.
  • Must observe all safety rules and regulations
  • Must have knowledge of the natural gas compression industry

Working Conditions:

  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sitting; bending, and twisting, occasional kneeling; lift and carry a maximum of 10 – 50 Lbs., reach overhead for light weight items
