Job purpose
Responsible for all Fabrication and Revamp activity (Oklahoma City & Houston), order entry, mkt. share, and profitability Interface with the VP Operations, Director of Sales, Director, and Business Managers to ensure the success and profitability of the Department.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervises Compressor and Generator Engineering Staff
- Coordinate meetings with WPI personnel and customers
- Review and approve proposals prior to submittal
- Track fabrication labor and material expenses to ensure compliance with Scope of Work
- Assure promptness and accuracy of WPI Inspection Reports & QC
- Close Fabrication and Revamp orders as an internal function prior to invoicing
- Informs and negotiates additional work through WPI change order procedures
- Schedules Field Start-up services with the District Service Managers
- Meet all performance KPI’s for the department.
- Represents WPI on project warranty claims as needed
- Develop and submit "Inspection& Test Plans" on request
- Familiar with Industry Welding and Vessel Codes
- Focus on improving efficiancies and margins.
- Know market values on used engines and compressors
- Develop and maintain WPI Quality Assurance Reports
- Negotiate pricing with Used Equipment dealers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or
- Must have 10 years of previous experience OR Bachelor’s degree (Engineering)
- Applied certification(s) preferred

- Ability to build and maintain good client relationships
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
