The Breast Center RN is responsible for direct patient care for patients undergoing breast biopsies, needle localizations, sentinel node injections, paracentesis, port access, thyroid FNA's and various procedures for CT, ultrasound, MRI and nuclear medicine.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required
- Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is required
- Experience and/or certification in the area highly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes Nursing Process to practice professional nursing autonomously.
- Functions independently and dependently to assess, diagnose, plan, implement & evaluate nursing care of assigned patients.
- Performs responsibilities of nursing practice by functioning as: clinician, teacher, researcher & leader.
- Responsible for directing/coordinating nursing care based on professional nursing practice standards, in accordance with ANA Standards & the LA Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrates adherence to regulatory agency guidelines.
- Seeks professional development; maintains knowledge & skills required to deliver nursing care in assigned area.
- Supports mission, vision & values of Woman's Hospital.
- Uses knowledge of patient's age/cultural beliefs in provision of care.
- Collaborates with members of the health care team to ensure safe, quality, nursing care through excellence in customer service & performance improvement techniques that demonstrate desired positive outcome

Part-time; Days
Shifts Vary, but will include:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Range:
$27.72 - $44.35
