ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Manager to lead operations at our WT Burnet Phoenix chemical foaming plant. This position is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background who also brings deep foamline/chemical processing experience. The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of daily plant operations while applying technical and leadership skills to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Lead and manage all plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency.
- Oversee department managers and align activities with company goals.
- Provide technical leadership in foamline operations (chemistry, formulations, and troubleshooting).
- Applying engineering knowledge to machinery, ensuring hands-on involvement with equipment, repairs, and process optimization.
- Mentor and develop staff across all departments, building future leadership talent.
- Implement strategies for continuous improvement, cost control, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Maintenance to maximize machine reliability and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with HR on workforce planning, training, and performance management.
- Manage plant budgets, operational KPI’s, and support long-term business goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).

QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering degree required (mechanical, chemical, industrial, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or plant management and/or polyurethane chemistry, chemical processing
- Prior leadership in management preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of machines, chemical transport, thermodynamics, and mechanical/plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing ERP systems.
