Our polyurethane foam manufacturing facility located in Jessup, MD is currently hiring for a Mechanic - second shirt.

• Evaluates the operating systems and offers improvement suggestions and assist in any redesign initiatives.

• Assist in inventory control and maintenance stores as required.

• Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.

• Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defective or to remove defective part.

• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

• Removes and replaces worn or defective parts with new part or repairs of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.

• Realigns and adjust components.

• Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe as required.

• Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction.

• Ability to weld and fabricate parts as needed to effect needed repairs.

• Maintain a relatively clean maintenance shop, and ensure that all shop equipment is safe to use.

• The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions.

• The noise level in the work environment is not usually loud.
