Wilson & Company is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Kansas City office for the summer.

  • You will perform hands-on work to apply your classroom experience to real-world projects and help you envision your future career.
  • You’ll be an active member of our team, working for our clients on projects with our most experienced engineers.
  • You’ll be introduced to Wilson & Company’s culture, helping you evaluate our firm as a future career choice.
  • You will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate with partners to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.

This could be a potential year-round paid opportunity, if schedules allow, and could lead to full-time employment upon graduation!

Required Skills
  • Base knowledge of electrical engineering as it is applied to buildings, power distribution, site lighting/power, and overall electrical design for facilities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.
  • Experience with SKM PowerTools or ETAP for power system studies is a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly responsible and dependable.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and an impeccable work ethic.
  • Ability to work with a team under the direct supervision of an electrical engineer.
Required Experience
  • Actively pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to commute to/from school to the office, and work in an office environment. No remote work anticipated.
  • Highly responsible and dependable. Capacity to manage and maintain a sustainable balance between school, internship, and personal demands.

Hourly Earnings: $20.00 - $23.00
