The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping infrastructure systems and facilities running smoothly and efficiently. Normal day-to-day tasks include coordination of machined chip recycling containers, machine coolant & oil tending, snow removal, tree trimming, trash cleanup, and management of bottled gas inventory. This role directly supports HelpDesk requests so the daily tasks can vary dependent on the issues that arise within our facilities & grounds.

  1. Responsible for ordering, documenting and distributing bottled gas inventory
  2. Staging and coordinating of cutting chip recycling
  3. Machine coolant duties, including cleaning up coolant spills
  4. Maintain the cardboard, wood pallet and electronic recycling efforts
  5. Coordinate orders and deliveries with suppliers
  6. Assist in general plant operations, and support Helpdesk requests
  7. Outdoor maintenance, snow removal, tree trimming and trash clean up

High School Diploma or GED with 0-1 years of maintenance or manufacturing experience. This position requires mechanical aptitude with basic computer skills required to generate and complete work order documentation. Ability to operate a forklift and other plant maintenance equipment.  Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and part of a team.  Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management is necessary. Must be willing to support weekend and holiday call-in requests.

Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
