JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Solutions Coordinator is a client-focused position and responsible for supporting all client financing solutions offered by WSECO. This position coordinates the machine financing process from inception of sale to end funding to ensure client is offered best financing options. Exceptional client service and relationship building is critical to this role as it partners with the operating divisions to enhance the client experience, build client loyalty, and minimize overall company risk.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safety
- Actively cares, promotes, manages, and advocates safety at Western States. As a team member in the organization, it is critical to ensure all employees, vendors, and clients have a safe work environment while adhering to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains clean/clutter free personal work areas to ensure safe environment for all WSECO employees.
- Adhering to required personal protective equipment (PPE) as identified in safety policy.
- Provides coaching to employees on how to complete work safely is also responsible for the safety of assigned team.
Client Engagement
- Provides machine finance/lease rate and payment quotes and amortizations to Sales Representatives and clients.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with external and internal client and finance partners (Cat Finance, AgDirect, Wells Fargo, etc.); to assist with issues that arise.
- Communicates and educates assigned territories on available financing solutions available to clients.
- Communicates client status with operating divisions effectively and in a proactive manner.
- Works with Sales Representative to understand sales agreement and client needs. Understands and is familiar with all available finance companies and all leasing options to propose best financing options based on Sales Representative’s recommendation and client needs.
Process Coordination
- Understands and can efficiently maneuver through payment quoting systems (CapitalStream and Excel.) Produces quotes for clients using quoting system best suited for situation.
- Prioritizes daily job tasks in order to maintain high quality service to clients with limited supervision.
- Prepares paperwork for client. Processes machine finance credit applications and submits to finance companies for credit approval.
- Receives answer from finance companies on status of approval. Prepares contracts for approved loans. Collects and submits additional documentation if requested. Offers alternative financing proposals (personal guaranties, dealer guaranties, increased down payment, cross collateral agreements, dealer references, upfront skips, accelerated payments, etc.) where applicable. Gets approvals from VP, Finance and VP, Sales on alternative proposals that could create a financial liability to WSECO. Reworks and resubmits denied applications.
- Utilizes knowledge of financial transactions, state, federal, personal and property taxes, and UCC regulations to prepare the correct documents. Sends document packages to sales representatives for signatures. Receives signed document packages from Sales Representative. Follows up on any outstanding documents. Packages signed contracts and submits to finance companies for funding. Reviews deal for any outstanding issues that could affect final transaction such as liens or insurance complications.
- Reconciles and posts financing company funding directly to AX.
- Supports Cat Card financing programs and revolving credit access.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be self-starter with a strong sense of urgency to meet the challenges of a fast-paced business environment.
- Exceptional client service and relationship-building skills.
- Professional communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
- Previous work experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached.
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial laws as they apply to credit approval, liens, and collections.
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply financing, leasing and taxation principles.
- Consistent attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work-related experience required.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in UCC filing requirements and bankruptcy laws/regulations preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial credit, customer services, collections, and/or financial statement analysis in the areas of construction, forestry, agriculture or mining.
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-shoulder reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. in accordance with Western States’ Lifting Policy to include amount and approach.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
