FLSA/Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly (Part Time available ONLY)
Pay Rate: 14.50 - 15.50/hr - Depending on experience
Shift: Rotating schedule with weekend, nights and holiday availability required.
Summary:
Cleans dishes, utensils, food preparation equipment, and kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains a friendly, efficient, respectable attitude towards customers, co-workers, residents and visitors.
- Cleans all equipment and surfaces according to departmental procedures and schedules.
- Prepares dish room and dish machine prior to use. Loads and unloads machine following established procedures.
- Logs dish machine temperatures. Ensures dish machine temperatures are in compliance with standards and notifies supervisor of any deviations.
- Thoroughly scraps, soaks, washes and sanitizes pots and pans.
- Transports supplies and equipment between storage areas and work areas through use of carts.
- Sorts and removes trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Adheres to all departmental safety and sanitation procedures. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal regulations to provide for a safe environment.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to apply elementary math calculations.
- Ability to understand and follow direction and requests for assistance.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a kitchen environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to operate potentially hazardous equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk during 6 to 8 hour shifts.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pound and place on high and low shelves in storerooms.
- Ability to frequently push carts with dishes and supplies up to 60 pounds to storerooms.
Environmental Conditions:
- Hazard include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns,
- slipping and tripping.
- Frequently immerses hands in water.
- Works frequently in hot and damp environment.
Other federally regulated requirements:
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
- Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine, and TB testing.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
