Job Description
Wayman is looking for an experienced Alarm Sales Representative who will be responsible for covering the tri-state area. Representatives will perform site visits and gather necessary information for Inspection proposals. You will expand our customer base by creating new relationships in the area, as well as, help maintain our valued customers. Utilizing your past experience in the sales industry you will proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a constant pipeline of potential customers via prospecting, networking, and referral activities within your region. You will be working out of our home office in Wilmington, DE. We are looking for someone who is flexible and ambitious with a hunger for success. Requirements:
- Present and sell company fire alarm products to new and existing customers
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
- Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
- Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
- Create sales material to present to customers
- Be knowledgeable about the product
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems
- Answer questions about the products
- Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
- Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
- Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED Required
- 1-2 years of related industry experience required**
- 2 years previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields required
- Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs
- Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network
- Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a sale
- Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Team oriented!
- Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between locations and carry heavy products
