$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Required Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license. Additional Credentials/licenses pertinent to the specialty. One-year experience in a health care facility.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: CPR certification/PALS.

Essential Functions
Calculates medication dosages according to body weight, administers and documents medication as prescribed by the ordering physician.

Applies principles of the child’s growth and development in his/her daily clinical practice.

Identifies, assumes and plans for the educational needs of the parents and families.

Identifies and evaluates the patient and family needs by way of telephone triage.

Recognizes and responds appropriately to pediatric emergencies.

Recognizes and responds appropriately to pediatric emergencies.

Adheres to Nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in the patient’s medical record

If assigned to a Patient Centered Medical Home recognized primary care clinic, job duties also include:

Is an active member of the care team and may include additional duties related to care coordination.
