General Summary and Purpose:
The Securitized Credit Team is looking for an Associate Portfolio Manager to focus on credit underwriting, trade execution, sector allocation, and position surveillance as the team’s primary coverage for specific subsectors of the ABS, CLO, or CMBS markets. Based in Boston, MA, this person will work closely with the other members of the Securitized Credit Team to assist in making investment decisions within dedicated securitized credit portfolios, short duration portfolios, and multi-sector fixed income portfolios
You Will:
- Serve as the team’s primary coverage for specific subsectors of the ABS, CLO, or CMBS markets. Within these three areas, the specific securitized subsectors assigned to this individual will be determined by their skills and experience and how they fit within the broader team.
- Perform detailed credit analysis and propose trade ideas for client portfolios.
- Make sector overweight/underweight recommendations across client portfolios.
- Assess strengths and weaknesses of securitization structures, risk scenarios, and legal documents on new issue and secondary offers.
- Build and maintain scalable systems to monitor performance and valuations. Analyze issuer, industry, and market trends within a comprehensive surveillance process.
- Develop models to forecast the performance of various loan pools.
- Execute trades in the primary and secondary market. Build and maintain relationships with sell-side research, trading desks, rating agencies, issuers, and other industry participants.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as finance, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in an investing, banking, structuring, or trading role within ABS, CLOs, CMBS, or areas related to these markets.
- Ability to take risk and make decisions under pressure.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional work ethic.
- Proficiency with computer programming such as Python and SQL preferred
- Master’s degree, CFA charterholder or progress towards the CFA designation preferred

Target Compensation:
The target base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 .
Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications.
Victory Capital Management operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
