The hospital is well equipped. Radiographic study is performed with the Vetpacs Digital Radiology system. All radiographs are read by a board certified radiologist. Surgery has the capability of running two tables simultaneously with a third surgical station for emergencies if needed. Anesthesia protocols have been written by a board certified anesthesiologist. Pain management includes hydromorphone, carprofen, grapiprant, meloxicam, buprenorphine, gabapentin, tramadol and more. Surgery also includes ultrasonic dental cleaning, polishing, fluoridation, dental digital radiology, and high-speed dental equipment with irrigation. As part of our standard of care, all pets get full mouth dental radiographs as part of their anesthetic dental cleaning. Surgical monitoring includes continuous pulse oximetry, heart rate, and CO2 measurements. We also have an otoendoscopy unit with irrigation and suction capability.
Other equipment in the hospital includes a Vetronics computerized ECG analyzer, microscope, Idexx Chemistry and CBC machines, centrifuge and the capability to run in house Parvo, Felv/FIV, canine snap pLi, and Idexx 4dx tests. We send out a large portion of additional testing to Antech Laboratories who pick up twice daily for next day reporting. The hospital runs on an Avimark Veterinary Software system with each doctor having a laptop and each room equipped with a wall mounted computer workstation as well.
