Milwood Animal Clinic in Portage, MI is looking for an associate veterinarian to join our tight knit group. Our three doctor team treats dogs, cats and exotics. There is a 5:1 staff to doctor ratio, and we have 4 LVTs. This is a great opportunity for a new grad looking to gain mentorship and experience in small animal medicine, or a more experienced doctor who has an interest in surgery. Our tenured doctors are happy to mentor and train a new or recent graduate. Our surgical schedule also offers the opportunity for a doctor who loves surgery to create a schedule that is exclusive to surgical procedures, or to handle a heavy surgical caseload mixed with appointments. We are happy to accommodate flexible scheduling for our doctors based on their interests. 

If you are interested in working with exotics, we would be happy to support your interests and mentor you within exotics as well, as our whole team is well trained on exotic pet handling and nursing care. If your interests lie exclusively in treating dogs and cats, we are happy to bring you aboard our team too!

Full time DVM schedules consist of rotating 4 and 4.5 day workweeks with no weekend or on-call hours. A local ER covers evening and weekend emergencies, so we are proud of our outstanding work/life balance.
