South Side Animal Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinarian to join our practice. We are a strong support system for each other and have many years of experience (some staff have been with us for over 20 years!). Our three-doctor team sees the communities’ small animals and, in some cases, has been caring for some families’ fur babies for generations. About The Hospital

• 2:1 tech to doctor ratio
• Full time doctors work 4 days/week with no weekend, after hour, or on-call requirements
• Surgical area with 2 operating tables and 2 anesthesia machines
• Digital radiography – regular and dental

For new grads who join our team, we invest our time to ensure you get the support, time, and guidance for your first job out of vet school. Our approach to bringing new grads aboard includes:

• Structured orientation and tailored mentorship program, including 1-on-1 surgical training and an available mentor at all times.
• Longer appointment times and weekly check-ins
• Opportunities for Zoom calls and round table discussions with other new and recent graduates.
• New grad peer advisors for networking and support as you navigate your first DVM position.
• Slack group discussions to connect you with experienced vets for case reviews, connection, and advice.

Location

Our location in the city of Indianapolis provides quick access to a lot of major sports events such as the Indy 500 and the Colts games. We are less than an hour to both Purdue and IU, and less than an hour to beautiful Lake Monroe. A short road trip will get you to Chicago or Louisville, both two hours away.
