The Material Coordinator is assigned and is responsible to the Supply Chain Manager for the satisfactory accomplishment of all duties and responsibilities listed below. Guidance for performing routine assignments may be provided by other Supply Technicians as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following duties.  Additional essential functions may be identified by the organization and listed as such in the incumbent's performance appraisal elements.  Various tasks may be assigned under each crucial function.  Those that are listed under the examples of work are not all-inclusive; they are examples only and may be amended or added to as needed by the organization. 

  • Maintaining accountability and issue of tools/equipment, including maintaining calibration records. (Primary responsibility)
  • Requisitioning parts, supplies, materials, or property to satisfy immediate requirements and stock.
  • Receiving parts, supplies, materials, and property.
  • Updating supply/property records in the automated supply system.
  • Picking parts for the issue.
  • Stocking and/or re-warehousing parts/supplies in the warehouse.
  • Cleaning and/or assembling/disassembling of shelving and bins.
  • Shipping of parts, supplies, and property.
  • Maintain a core return tracking system.
  • Maintaining a warranty control program.
  • The build-up of repair kits for stock or issue to aircraft.
  • Submitting of repair request for repair of components, parts, or property, which is beyond the capability of in-house repair.
  • Assist in performing physical inventories of parts and property.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The incumbent performs other job-related tasks as assigned and required; any duties/tasks included in the employee's performance evaluation elements are essential to that employee's position within the job classification. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following minimum qualifications have been identified by subject matter experts (SME) who have supervised this position or functioned in the position; they are based on job analysis information supplied by these SME'S.  However, if a candidate believes he/she is qualified for the job although he/she does not have the minimum qualifications set forth below, he/she may request special consideration through substitution of related education and experience, demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Any request to substitute related education or experience for minimum qualifications must be addressed to the Human Resource Department in writing, identifying the related education and experience which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform all essential functions of the position.  If a candidate believes he/she needs a reasonable accommodation to meet these minimum qualifications or, if called for an interview, to attend such an interview, the candidate must notify the Human Resource Department in writing of the need for the accommodation and identify the specific accommodation requested.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

The following skills and abilities are required:

  • Previous experience in warehouse/supply environment; shipping, receiving, expediting, and delivery of parts supplies.
  • General knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklift and loading/unloading devices.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain in force a valid driver’s license, (good driving record).
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with common office software and hardware
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Travel (Minimal)
  • Must be a US citizen

The following skills and abilities are a plus:

  • CDL license with HAZMAT endorsement
  • HAZMAT Certification - Shipping
  • Familiar with the Federal Property Regulations and Import/Export Laws
  • Military Load Master experience
  • Experience operating within an ISO-9000 environment

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • The employee is occasionally required to support special mission deployments outside of the normal work environment.
  • The employee is occasionally required to travel.
