Financial Operations Manager Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Financial Operations Manager with strong procurement experience to join our team. This individual will play a key role in driving financial visibility, improving margin intelligence, and supporting procurement initiatives across our multi-site operations. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of finance and operations, turning data into actionable insights that drive measurable cost savings and margin improvements.
Financial Operations Manager Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in multi-site services, healthcare, financial operations, or procurement analytics.
- Proven ability to analyze margin drivers and connect financial data to operational performance.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with ERP data extraction (e.g., Acumatica, QuickBooks).
- Familiarity with procurement platforms.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working cross-functionally across Finance, Operations, and Accounting.
Financial Operations Manager Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in a private equity–backed environment.
- Exposure to group purchasing organization (GPO) savings, vendor contract consolidation, or cost savings initiatives.
- FP&A or corporate development background with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
Financial Operations Manager Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Margin Intelligence & Financial Visibility
- Own and maintain the clinic-level contribution margin model; analyze trends and variance drivers.
- Track labor, supply, and vendor costs per visit across all locations.
- Build and maintain financial scorecards to support operational reviews and board preparation.
- Quantify, document, and monitor run-rate cost savings.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Accounting to validate and measure savings impact.
- Identify and flag actionable margin opportunities with a 1–2 quarter impact window.
Tactical Procurement Support
- Normalize AP/vendor spend data across sites to identify opportunities for consolidation and standardization.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to improve purchase order (PO) utilization, compliance, and vendor categorization.
- Build and maintain a procurement analytics dashboard to support decision-making.
- Provide data-driven business cases to support vendor negotiations and ongoing vendor management efforts.
