Postdoctoral Scholar for the Center of Neuroscience, Neuroendocrinology & Clinical Translation (CoNNeCT) Laboratory at the University of Washington

The Center of Neuroscience, Neuroendocrinology & Clinical Translation (CoNNeCT) Laboratory (PI: Angela Fang) at the University of Washington (UW) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scholar to assist in a new NIMH-funded mechanistic clinical trial. The primary goal of the study is to examine mechanisms contributing to treatment non-response in cognitive behavioral therapy based on multimodal neuroimaging, neurocognitive, behavioral, clinical, and self-report data. Review of applications will begin immediately but applications will be thoughtfully reviewed and considered until the position is filled. This position will begin in June 2024. 

The postdoctoral scholar will have the opportunity to work on a multidisciplinary team of basic and clinical scientists both within and external to UW, and work closely with patients with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders through diagnostic assessment and fMRI scans. The position will also involve training in advanced statistical analyses for neuroimaging data and supervised machine learning techniques, supervising and mentoring research coordinators, and working on mentored grants, publications, and presentations at national conferences. Opportunities for supervision toward licensure will also be provided. This is an excellent position for anyone interested in gaining more specialized training in translational and clinical neuroscience before pursuing a tenure-track or research faculty position.

This position is full-time (100% FTE), 12 months/year, with an initial term appointment of one year (12 months), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. The base salary range for this position will be $68,460 - $74,424/year ($5,705 - $6,202/per month), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination, and employee benefits will be provided. Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. 1. Ph.D. in clinical psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or a related field
