Description
The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Seattle Children’s Hospital are seeking a pediatric otolaryngologist for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor without tenure or Associate Professor without tenure by reason of funding (WOT). This position would be a multi-year appointment with a 12-month service period (July 1 - June 30). University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
This position will be based at Seattle Children’s Hospital and affiliated ambulatory care centers. Clinical responsibilities include patient care, call, and student, resident and fellow supervision and education. The anticipated start date is October 1, 2024.

Salary:
Assistant Professor WOT Rank:The base salary range for this position will be: $22,083 - $23,750 per month ($265,000 - $285,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range represents base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, and by the University.
Other compensation associated with this position includes semi-annual additional compensation through Children’s University Medical Group. The UW department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery targets the AAMC 50th percentile for total salary.
Associate Professor WOT Rank:
The base salary range for this position at the Associate Professor WOT rank will be: $27,500 - $31,667 per month ($330,000 - $380,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range represents base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, and by the University.
Other compensation associated with this position includes semi-annual additional compensation through Children’s University Medical Group. The UW department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery targets the AAMC 50th percentile for total salary.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- MD (or foreign equivalent)
- Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology
- Completion of fellowship training program in pediatric otolaryngology
- Eligible for a Washington State medical license
- Candidates should have a background and a track record of clinical and scholarly productivity.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
