Description

The Physical Sciences Division in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at the University of Washington Bothell (UW Bothell) seeks multiple dynamic educators who have expertise in teaching for Part-Time Lecturer Temporary appointments beginning in the Academic Year 2024-2025. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to effective pedagogy, have expertise in working with diverse student populations, and are open to collaborating with colleagues.

Compensation is $6,000 per course equivalent over a three-month quarter. The  base salary range for this position is $6,000 per month, prorated based on amount of full time effort (FTE) determined by number of credits taught, and commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Appointments are renewable on a quarterly basis, and are contingent upon instructional needs, part time faculty reappointment guidelines, and Division approval. Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the position include:

  • PhD in chemistry or related field or foreign equivalent required by time of appointment. 

Positive factors for consideration include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated commitment to effective pedagogy.
  • A record of teaching excellence.
  • Expertise in working with diverse student populations.
