Job Description

Uncommon Schools is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support day-to-day operations and strategic workstream initiatives, while assisting with projects to strengthen team efficiency. The role will work with the team’s functional leads and a broad range of partners to complete a range of valuable services including communications, branding, project management, digital marketing, and social media. The individual will also lead recurring service projects mapped in the team’s annual plan. The role is ideal for a hardworking multitasker capable of handling many diverse projects and meeting tight deadlines. The role reports to the Marketing Project Manager.

Marketing Operations

  • Lead organization of branded assets including design files, video and photography and ensure accessibility and familiarity org-wide.
  • Conduct asset audits of team materials (print, digital and web) to ensure current information, communications and accuracy.
  • Manage team inbox and response communications including requests, vendor engagement and operations coordination.
  • Lead and perform administrative tasks and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Project Management

  • Run projects to heighten the team's ability to provide services to schools and the home office including photography, print media, branding, and Swag.
  • Support functional leads in ongoing Student Enrollment and Staff Recruitment workflow management including digital communications, advertising, and asset organization.
  • Coordinate with vendors to purchase and produce promotional materials including brochures, ads, and mailings.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • HS degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Passionate dedication to the mission of Uncommon Schools;
  • Very strong organizational skills and time management; strong attention to detail and follow-through;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • High sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully balance multiple projects concurrently;
  • Proficient digital literacy, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook;
  • Ability to thrive independently with a high degree of autonomy, as well as in a cooperative, diverse group with specific, set objectives;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information

This New York, NY-based role will require 1-2 days in the office per week.

Compensation for this position: The starting compensation for this role based in New York, NY is between $22.50-$26.44 per hour. The starting pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. Because we value staff staying in their roles over time, we do not currently cap salary ranges.
