M Health Fairview Cancer Care offers leading-edge radiation oncology treatments and technology for patients with cancer and other conditions. With the latest equipment and technology, our expert team of radiation specialists provide innovative and compassionate care for patients across the Twin Cities metro area.

Regardless of role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital! TheRadiation Therapistis responsible for delivering ionizing radiation therapy treatments as determined by the Radiation Oncologist.

Casual therapists are shared between multiple sites to cover sick time, vacation, FMLA, etc.for Radiation Therapists.

Site Location Include:

  • UMMC - East Bank
  • UMMCH - West Bank
  • Wyoming Lakes Clinic
  • Maple Grove Clinic

Radiation Therapist Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administers prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts
  • Uses radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards
  • Prepares and constructs equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physician
  • Prepares and keeps stock of the treatment rooms
  • Under the direction of the manager, may assume additional therapist responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing administrative duties including scheduling

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ARRT registration in radiation therapy or be board eligible by completing the appropriate school of radiation therapy and completing registration within three months of hire
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent patient relations skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
