University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking several Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join the University of Minnesota, Gastroenterology Division, in an outpatient clinic setting.
In this Role, You Will:
Provide outpatient patient care based at the M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center located in Wyoming, Minnesota.
Work closely and collaborate with academic Gastroenterologists and an experienced group of Advanced Practice Providers to care for patients with a diverse range of luminal GI disorders.
The PA or NP is an experienced member of the health care team who uses advanced practice skills with the collaboration of licensed physicians to provide comprehensive health care services to patients.
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner engages in independent decision making about health care needs and provides health care services to adult individuals throughout their life span.
Provide physical and psychological health assessments, patient education and counseling, order and interpret diagnostic procedures, and manage acute and chronic disease conditions ensuring continuity of care for individuals in the communities served.
Understand the importance of patient care and service.
Your Schedule:
Part time, .80 FTE
Monday - Friday, during clinic hours
We're Looking for a PA or NP Who Is:
A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
Current MN RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges or a current PA license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice.
Eligible to be or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
What Could Set You Apart?
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinic or hospital setting in gastroenterology or related specialty area is preferred.
