Emergency Medical Technician (Clinic Support) Overview
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinates and monitors patient appointments for provider visits, and procedure(s).
- Delivers patient care within scope of EMT role as delegated by the RN to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
- Communicates effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provides patient instruction as delegated.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.
- Performs other duties including Performance Goals developed by manager and employee and reported in the employee’s Performance Review as part of UMPhysicians’ Performance Management tools
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed as Basic Emergency Medical Technician in state of Minnesota.
- CPR certified
- BLS certified
Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare setting
