Embedded Software Engineer

Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or other Engineering or Science/Math) degree with embedded programming experience.

We are looking for an embedded software developer to work on various swarming vehicle platforms in the water, at the surface and in the air. The ideal candidate should be an independent worker, comfortable field testing and troubleshooting small unmanned vehicles, and should have a basic understanding of all aspects of the system: mechanical, electrical and software. Some DoD work will be required but no security clearance is needed.

Required Skills:

• Embedded C++

• Experience with microcontrollers, as well as UART, SPI and I2C protocols

• Prototyping and field testing as part of the design process

Preferred Skills

• RF ranging/localization

• Experience with MAVLink, PixHawk or Ardupilot

• FreeRTOS/OpenRTOS

• Radios/RF

• Drone piloting experience
