As an intern, you would be working closely with our world-class team of machine learning researchers. Your research might include development of new fundamental methods in the following areas: · Visual understanding, including object detection and tracking, semantic segmentation, human pose estimation, action and event recognition in images, video, and/or stream of radar data · Compressing deep neural networks to be more efficient in terms of computation, memory, and power consumption · Compressing data from audio and visual channels using deep neural networks · Automatic speech recognition · Reinforcement learning for behavioral planning and resource management Qualcomm offers flexible start dates during 2018, a very competitive salary, holiday and sick pay. |

Proven experience with machine learning and deep learning in computer vision, speech recognition or other relevant domains. Interest and experience in one or more of the following areas: · Object detection and tracking, human pose estimation, action recognition in images, video, and/or stream of radar data · Compressing deep neural networks · Generative data compression for images, video, and audio streams · Automatic speech recognition · Reinforcement learning for behavioral planning and resource management Strong programming skills and working knowledge of deep learning tools such as Pytorch and Tensorflow. Publications in top tier conferences and journals is a plus, including NIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ICML, ICLR, ACL, ICRA. |
