Job Description

Turner & Townsend Infrastructure’s team is seeking a Construction Project Scheduler in the New York City metro area with Infrastructure construction experience (Aviation, Rail, Tunnels, Transportation, Power/Utilities).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The scheduler will utilize the Client-provided scheduling environment to manage the master schedule.
  • Build and maintain project schedules for projects owned by the assigned Program Manager. 
  • Progress each schedule at pre-defined intervals as defined by Client in line with the Client Reporting cycle. 
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control of all assigned Project schedules as required by Client.
  • Ensure life-cycle schedule is built and is maintained on a “rolling-wave” basis.
  • Incorporate information related to schedules provided by contractors into the Master Schedule.
  • Ensure build adheres to guidelines and instruction set forth by Client’s Project and Program Controls group. 
  • Assist Cost Analyst and Project Team to analyze cost forecasts against schedule forecasts to ensure alignment and escalate areas of misalignment.
  • Identify and communicate key risks or opportunities that emanate from the impacts of schedule delays or advancements.  
  • Create regular reports as directed and defined by the Authority.
  • Ensuring outage requirements, when applicable, are incorporated into the schedule clearly, accurately, and consistently. 
  • The scheduler is expected to be a part of the Project Team and therefore is expected to take part in regularly scheduled project team meetings. 
  • In coordination with the cost analyst, hold regular monthly meetings with the project team(s) to review cost and schedule information concurrently, and identify / remedy areas of misalignment.

Qualifications

*On-site or In-office presence is required. Requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 3-6 years or more of P6 construction scheduling experience is required
  • Experience with Greater New York City transportation agencies, may include MTA, Amtrak, NJ Transit, PATH, NYNJPA, etc.
  • PSP, or similar certifications preferred

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $90K-$135K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
