Purpose of Position

The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership in all aspects of the Human Resources-related matters of the company.

The Director of Human Resources will establish and align priorities to provide continuous improvement through a team of

Human Resource professionals dedicated to: thought leadership, effective engagement as business partners, providing exemplary care for team members, and ensuring excellence in process and controls.  The Director of Human Resources will develop and execute the vision for talent acquisition,

employee relations, engagement and satisfaction, organizational development, workforce management and planning,

policies and procedures.  The Director of Human Resources will oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff;

consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization's management and its employees.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·   Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Business, or related discipline.

·   Minimum of 15 years of Human Resources experience, at least 5 years in Leader/Executive role.

·   Construction/concrete industry experience is highly desired.

·   Proven ability to align culture, strategic change, and develop actionable plans to execute the Human Resources vision  within a high growth environment.

·   Demonstrated success in leading, inspiring, coaching and building teams.

·   In-depth knowledge of Human Resources processes, employment legislation and legal regulations.

·   Experience is all aspects of Human Resources talent management, employee relations, compensation/benefits, training and development and organizational design.

·   Strong critical, strategic thinking, interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail, listening, verbal and written communication skills.

·   Quarterly travel between facilities and job locations throughout the Eastern United States.

·   Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·   Exemplify leadership qualities as a key member of the Leadership Team by demonstrating direction, support, and motivation of team members, while contributing to the overall success of the company.

·  Ensure that compensation, professional development, recruitment, and retention programs are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and goals.

·  Ensure team is aligned to execute vision throughout the business.

·  Identify and implement Best Practices (through collaboration with other departments).

·  Prioritize key human capital initiatives / issues to address according to business needs.

·  Establish and ensure organizational development cadence (such as, compensation reviews, performance evaluations).          

·  Be a steward of influencing and reinforcing company culture at all levels of the organization; experienced leader in being the voice of the Leadership Team.

·  Achieve key performance initiatives for retention/turnover and staffing needs.

·  Manage discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policies.

·  Develop and implement key initiatives that are consistent with the company's strategic plan, financial objectives, Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

·  Develop organizational vision for high performance culture, optimizing our employee experience, and optimizing systems and processes to enhance productivity.
