Position Summary

The selected candidate will support the Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIAMD) at Ft. Bliss, Texas. This is a surge position, contingent upon award, in support of military testing data collection operations. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II will apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by referencing and interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining repairs, troubleshooting, modifying and installing various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment; personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices.
  • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
  • Works under immediate supervision and achieved technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Two years’ experience gathering test data on systems under test within any domain and environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship and must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Travel may be required
