Position Description:
- Subject to approval of Medical Director or Attending Physician, provides medical care to agency clients. An employee in this position is responsible and accountable for the services they render and for the treatment decisions they make. Work is performed independently under supervision of the Medical Director and/or attending physician(s).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes scheduled psychiatric assessment for all clients.
- Completes required documentation in client files for services rendered to include psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis.
- Psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis.
- Completes agency Medical History form as part of the nursing assessment process, if needed.
- Medication monitoring and prescription of psychotropic medication as clinically/medically appropriate.
- Provides validation of training that meets ARNP and agency licensing requirements.
- Participates in required in-service education to comply with the agency’s Training Policy as necessary.
- Performs other reasonable and related duties as assigned.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure by the Florida Board of Nursing as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and certification of psychiatry specialty from an accredited college/university or PA-Psych credentialed.
