Core Hours: Wed - Sat, 6pm-630am (every other Wednesday off)

Purpose and Scope

Provide general support for the maintenance of the production equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance and repair and strive to improve operational quality of the equipment.

   Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment, processes and supporting engineering projects, and performing scheduled maintenance operations at various company work locations.
  • Assist Senior Technicians in performing repairs on and installation of machines and equipment.
  • Maintain facilities and maintenance records that conform to FDA, cGMP and SOP standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors to resolve problems with equipment and facilities.
  • Recommend and assist with implementation of measures/processes to improve operating conditions of equipment.
  • Assist with IR investigations and company audits.
  • Assist with parts ordering and maintenance of inventory levels of critical and non –critical spare parts.
  • Participate in required annual hazardous waste training. Hazardous waste involvement may include but is not limited to the handling of universal waste such as spent fluorescent tubes, spent filters, batteries, and used oil. Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Ability to diagnose and repair technical equipment.
  • High mechanical aptitude.
  • Computer skills to include Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well with employees and outside contractors.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple job functions
  • Neat and organized.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, and to squat, kneel, and bend frequently.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.

Education & Experience

  • Two years of advanced education in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of experience in a production environment or technical trade.

Working Conditions

  • Some overtime and extra shifts may be required, including being “on-call” as needed.
  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $23.80 an hour 
  • Shift Differential: $2.50 per hour
