About Analytical Services
The Analytical Services team is the analytical arm of MS&T (Materials Science & Technology) and is tasked with providing analytical support for anything that is not proceduralized within the Quality Control (QC) lab. Some of the tasks Analytical Services are responsible for include method development/remediation, investigations, raw material qualification, providing analytical support for process changes, the implementation of new FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations, and much more. In short, Analytical Services has broad responsibilities that create a challenging, yet extremely rewarding fast-paced work environment.
Proposed Work Description
The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company/department and therefore the work described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:
- Work with Research Associate to collect data to help justify changing our water content analysis for a particular product.
- Assist with general laboratory tasks such as cleaning of glassware, pipettes, balance verifications, ordering lab supplies, checking in samples, and archiving of notebooks.
- Other project support duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of dissolution and HPLC techniques.
- Good documentation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as co-operatively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical analytical labs and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) with interest in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Education & Experience
- Pursuing a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, preferably third-year.
- Previous coursework with a lab.
- Have achieved an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $19.00 per hour

Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily in a laboratory environment but could include office, clean room, or production floor.
- Dress is casual but business- or business-casual dress may be required on occasion
