Your Impact
As the chef manager, you will drive the success of our dining services, high-volume catering, and patient meal services. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in enhancing the overall well-being of patients. Your dedication to culinary excellence directly contributes to a positive and satisfying experience, promoting a sense of community and well-rounded health.
Job Specific Duties
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative menus and recipes while maintaining high-quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other team members
- Manage inventory, ordering, and budget control
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the dietary department to meet special dietary needs
- Train and develop kitchen staff on culinary techniques and safety procedure
What you will need
-
Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
- Strong commitment to scratch cooking and using fresh, quality ingredients.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Knowledge of shift management and bartending techniques
- Experience in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in team management within a food service setting
- ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
- Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
- Familiarity with dietary requirements for various health conditions
- Proficiency in creating diverse cuisines to cater to different tastes
