JOB SUMMARY:

The Logistics and Inventory Specialist ensures that the correct products are delivered to the right location on time and at an acceptable cost. This role is involved with the transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring of the flow of goods.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate and monitor the incoming materials and logistics management process for Think.

Receive, store, and assist with delivery and distribution of supplies and materials to all Think internal customers.

Ensure the correct selection of minimums, maximums, and reorder points for all goods consumed at Think.

Ensure that the inventory tracking system is accurate and that proper receiving protocols have occurred.

Work with the various departments to develop the most effective way to reorder supplies.

Receive all packages and US mail and distribute as required.

Maintain accurate inventory levels and up to date pricing to ensure correct payment of goods.

Assemble furniture, office equipment, and fix/troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Assist in ensuring sanitary healthcare conditions and ensures proper waste disposal.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of inventory management procedures/best practices.

Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including inventory management software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.

Skill in managing multiple priorities.

Ability to convey professional demeanor when engaging with patients, protecting privacy, and confidentiality.

Ability to enter data into a computer to maintain records.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with inventory coordination required.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• This role operates in a healthcare setting. This position requires frequent walking, standing, and computer work. This role allows employee to vary physical position or activity for comfort.

• Must be able to:

Stand 40% or longer of an 8-hour workday.

Walk 40% of an 8-hour workday.

Sit 20% of an 8-hour workday.

• Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds to waist height occasionally

• Requires employee to: bend, squat, kneel and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally

Requires the ability to climb a 1-story vertical ladder regularly

• Requires repetitive use of hands for: simple grasping, fine manipulation, computer use

• Requires all sensory skills (speech, vision, smell, touch, and hearing) corrected to near normal range.
