A Brief Overview
Under general supervision assists with the design, deployment and administration of various Network and security infrastructure hardware and systems. This position requires practical understanding and experience with Wide Area Networks and Cybersecurity systems. Duties include assisting with the technical analysis of complex services and products both existing and emerging technologies. Administration of cybersecurity tools including Firewalls, VPNs, SIEM and other relevant tooling. Works with various IT teams to ensure system availability, security and regulatory compliance. This role assists in the design and implementation of Cloud partner solutions hosted in Azure and AWS.

- Advanced understanding of network services and networking protocols.
- Advanced knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers and switches.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions.
- Ability to contribute to designing, implementing and troubleshooting security infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain understanding of the latest technologies, security principles, and protocols.
- Maintain a practical knowledge of computer forensic tools, data loss prevention methods, and disaster recovery methods.
- Monitor infrastructure systems to improve network performance for all systems
- Develop and communicate standards, policies and business practices ensuring availability of system resources at various security access levels.
- Implement adequate preventive, detective and corrective controls to ensure data integrity without adversely affecting the end user experience.
- Create/maintain relevant system standards for networking and security infrastructure components.
- Research, test, recommend and implement new products related to network and security infrastructure components.
- Monitor performance, security and resources of network components, and communications lines to ensure quality service levels are maintained, including problem escalation with vendors and service providers.
- Establish new and evolve existing infrastructure standards.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in work related field or discipline preferred.
Experience Qualifications
- 5+ Years experience in Information Technology with specific focus on network and security administration in positions of increasing responsibility required.
- 5+ Years experience in configuration, installation and maintenance of networking infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc. required.
- 3+ Years experience installing and administering medium to large scale LAN/WAN environments including hardware, software required.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting all layers of the OSI model required.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating and implementing control mechanisms of networking and security products to protect digital assets required.
Skills and Abilities
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems including but not limited to deployment, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- One or more of the following are preferred: Networking and/or security centric; Cloud technology; Juniper; Cisco.
The expected salary range for this position is $98,011.18 - $140,891.07. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
