Division Information

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in challenging environments where customers put a premium on robustness, reliability and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.

Position Summary:

The Electrical Engineer Manager will lead all aspects of our electrical engineering group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers, coordinating projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and driving innovation and efficiency within the department.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality project execution. Coordinate and oversee electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment to budget, timeline, and quality requirements. Develop and implement departmental strategies and goals to drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and technicians, to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution. Conduct regular performance evaluations and mentor team members, identifying areas for improvement and implementing training and development initiatives. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations, and ensure compliance within the department. Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to optimize productivity and meet project deadlines. Review and approve technical specifications, designs, and reports, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with relevant standards. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the electrical engineering department, promoting best practices and compliance to industry standards. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Ability to empower and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, lead resources, and drive success.
  • Proficiency in using electrical engineering software and tools. OrCAD preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • US citizenship or Permanent Resident
