Location/Division Specific Information
St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division - The Drug Substance Division is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We specialize in both small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services. This allows us to serve the needs of Small/Emerging, Mid-Sized, and Large Pharma sectors globally.

Contribute PPI improvement ideas & suggestions to help continue the success of the plant. Associate level skilled trades including HVAC, Refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, special certified machinery.
A day in the Life:
- Maintain & fix all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical & electrical breakdowns following strict product safety & quality standards.
- Troubleshoot all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical & electrical breakdowns following strict product safety & quality standards.
- Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building, mechanical equipment and utility systems using one or more trade skills.
- May run machinery requiring specific trade skills and certification.
- Maintains current knowledge of all applicable procedures and safety measures.
- Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
- Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Keys to Success:
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree a plus but not required.
Experience
- 3 years (Three 12-month periods) maintenance related experience, including a minimum of 1500 hours of on-the-job experience.
- Background in industrial mechanical, electrical, computer systems.
- Experience with Windows based PCs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge
- Must have knowledge of & capable of performing special technical skill (basic electrical troubleshooting, basic PLC skills, machining, welding tasks, high pressure gases)
- Must have a working knowledge of electrical installation & construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics systems.
Skills
- Background in industrial mechanical, electrical, computer systems.
Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision, and be available to work any shift, weekends and holidays as required.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment & be able to communicate effectively.
- Perform area housekeeping duties.
- Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be aware of potential exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and high noise areas.
