DISTRIBUTION CLERK – CAM

Location / Division Specific Information
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Memphis site is part of the PSG-CTD Division. It is a multi-product and multi-client biopharmaceutical site. We provide storage and order fulfillment of commercial and commercial free pharmaceutical products for our clients. We have capabilities to support and store products that require cold chain and ambient processing.
How will you make an impact?
As a Distribution Clerk - CAM, you will provide leadership to the distribution clerks and material handler teams to perform their tasks. You will perform inventory and distribution related processes. Lead a safe, compliant, and profitable execution of all related processes and facilities continuous improvement. These duties will be performed according to established safety, security, and quality guidelines in our GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility.
What will you do?
- Assist the supervisor in promoting and facilitating a safe work environment for all employees and take appropriate action to correct unsafe acts and procedures.
- Provide leadership and assistance with the daily operation of the department to guarantee all customer expectations are met or exceeded where possible.
- Utilizes WMS (Warehouse Management System) to track, verify and maintain the inventory of physical goods that come into or go out from the business
- Ensure all items has an accurate count
- Checks and records if there are missing or damaged product on arrival.
- Partners with Client Services team on any discrepancy to find a resolution
- Train, coach, and mentor employees by offering problem resolutions
- Willing to cross-train in multiple areas of the facility
- Process all receiving activity, accept orders, manages supplies and organizes product to ensure work is available for the team utilizing proper processes and using WMS.
- Ability to respond to and/or communicate using emails or other software on a professional manner
- Participate, lead, and drive Continuous Improvement – PPI (Practical Process Improvement) events by encouraging employees to enter JDIs (Just Do Its) and perform Gemba's and promotes companies vision of 4 I’s.
- Follow quality protocols, complying with Warehouse, Good Distribution policies, cGMP and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Learn, adapt, and train on new concepts

Education
- High school diploma or GED required, Associates degree or higher preferred
- Or college credentials
Experience Required
- 3+ years' experience in warehousing or supply chain environment
- Preferred with 2+ years forklift experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- High attention to detail
- Experience in WMS
- Strong sense of urgency
- Can interact and utilize WMS and RF scanning devices to perform entry level distribution tasks
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to wear PPE as required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Walk and stand up to 6 hours at a time
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
