As part of the Single Use Division (SUD) team, you will help provide our customers technology, materials, and services to develop and produce life-changing medicines efficiently, sustainably, and cost-effectively. Our work with customers makes a lasting impact on global health.

How you will make an impact:

This is a leadership role with responsibility for leading global human resources efforts to achieve the business strategy for the Bio Rigid Containment business unit, Global Operations and more broadly, within SUD. The Director will help attract, develop, and lead a distributed team. The major responsibilities for this role include support of the Vice President and General Manager of Bio Rigid Containment, the Vice President of Operations, as well as the R&D leader to improve organizational capability, drive culture change, build strong talent plans, resolve training and development needs and strategy, determine hiring needs, resolve employee relations issues, and contribute to the achievement of the strategic and operating plan objectives. This individual must possess the ability to quickly grasp the strategic objectives and plans and work with others to support the achievements of the manufacturing organization.

What you will do:

  • Confer with business leaders in areas such as change management, organizational assessment & structure, organizational planning, and work force planning to strengthen overall organizational capability.
  • Ensure alignment of HR processes i.e., Human Resources Review (HRR), Performance Management and Development (PMD), Monthly & Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), etc. with strategic and operating goals
  • Counsel and/or coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with local culture and the business and legal environment.
  • Develop HR team members to ensure adequate HR bench strength in the broader HR population.
  • Work closely with the field HR team members to help drive the talent agenda at our manufacturing sites to create an engaging environment.
  • Ensure effective talent management including recruitment, assessment and development as the organization grows both organically as well as through acquisition. Assist managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and support of employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work.
  • Own the partnership with the talent acquisition center, including staffing coordination and job requisition management.
  • Own the annual performance and salary reviews as well as the variable pay programs.
  • Responsible for remaining up to date on relevant US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues. Update management on policies/processes as vital. Responsible for oversight and coordination of any regulatory requirements including OSHA compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity.
  • Build standard work and management dashboards to quickly assess, support and communicate operational and strategic performance of the HR goals, adopting our culture of continuous improvement through our PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Business System.
  • Other duties as assigned.

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field required.
  • MBA or other graduate degree preferred.

Experience

  • Senior level Human Resources experience from a large multi-national company with 12+ years of experience. Prior experience leading an HR team preferred. Experience supporting a global Commercial organization is helpful.
  • Shown success translating business strategies into interpersonal and HR strategies & actions.
  • Experience with Continuous Process Improvement approaches
  • Experience working across a sophisticated organizational matrix.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Utah is $136,100.00–$207,950.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
