We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Project Manager, responsible for clinical trial packaging to join our team within our Clinical Trials Division. The successful candidate will be responsible to successfully lead and coordinate across all technical and service aspects of a project. This will range from initial discussions with clients, development of the project requirements, documentation aspects of crafting the project and management of all project related activities through to study completion.

How will you make an impact?

This role is essential in the engagement and oversight of the customer lifecycle and overall customer relationships at our Indianapolis site.

What will you do?

  • Manages and leads the delivery of all technical and service aspects of projects and studies for clients.
  • Determines the preliminary design of the study, evaluating and understanding the study as it moves forward.
  • Serves as the internal link within the company and will have direct contact with all internal departments and direct one-on-one contact with external customers.
  • Initiates the involvement of appropriate departments, maintaining continuous communication with those departments, and ensures the work delivered to customers is of a consistently high standard.
  • Attends project meetings at the business or customer site. Leads and represents the business at kick off meetings for the customer.
  • Leads and facilitates customer teleconferences and on-site visits, providing timely provision of customer reports and updates.
  • Interacts with Quality Assurance/Regulatory personnel to drive Problem Reports to closure.
  • Ensures customer needs are accurately translated into quotation and has responsibility to partner with the Quotation Specialist to monitor and amend the quote and budget.
  • Participates in cross-functional business process improvement activities.
  • Works closely together with the to gain overall customer satisfaction.
  • Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

How will you get here? (Minimum education and experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a high school diploma with three + (3) years of project management experience is required. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and work experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of project management and customer facing.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong organizational, planning, verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to include excellent relationship building.
  • Excellent customer management skills; proactively anticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of clients to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Requires understanding and proficient use of SOPs required by company Quality standards.
  • Experienced in personal computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in appropriate project planning tools (ex: Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, etc.) to communicate milestones and critical path activities and responsibility.
  • Requires proven experience with customers in a dynamic environment.
  • In-depth understanding of clinical trials preferred.
